I first saw this look on FashionBombDaily.com and although Lala is in the background, I was drawn to her hairstyle! Many of the straight ponytail looks are too full, too shiny, or too long. This one is PERFECT! It is by Urban Beauty, I bought it at my local BSS for $9.99. The picture online is kind of deceiving though, it makes it look wider and fuller than it is. In reality it is a very natural thickness with some very subtle layering, the way a real ponytail would look. And it does not have that “synthetic shiny” look that some phony ponies have.
My process was to wash, DC, airdry 50% with leave in, slick up into a ponytail using Bee Mine Curly Butter with a little bit of Ecostyler gel to my edges. I prevously wore my bangs down and swooped to the side for this ponytail look. To prep for this style I sprayed ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea followed by avocado oil then rolled the bang backwards on a large roller overnight. The next morning, I removed the roller,pulled the bang backwards and slightly to the side to form a small “hump” in the front; Then pinned it around the bun then applied the drawstring ponytail. I love this look!
I thought I was facing the same direction as LaLa for a great “who wore it better” type look.
