Last weekend, after I relaxed my hair I did a very fast flexirod set using only 20 of the 1″ rods. I loved the resulting curls, but realized that to preserve them, I would need to roll my hair each night. I did this on Saturday evening and had fabulous hair for church, but then I just couldn’t bring myself to sleep another night in those rollers. So I did 6 bantu knots hoping to achieve a similar look with my comfortable sleep. Here is what my curls looked like when I re-rolled my hair on flexirods:
From Curls to the Perfect Waves

I love the result of this set. I mean, truthfully, to me it doesn’t even look like a rod set. You can’t tell me this doesn’t look like I used a curling iron!
Just another example of the many different looks you can create with rollersetting! #lovethischallenge!
So, as I said – as pretty as these curls were, I refused to sleep another night in a head full of large flexirods. Monday I wore a bun but decided to rock my hair down again. So that evening I parted my hair down the middle, moisturized with Bee Mine Deja’s Hair Milk and sealed with my Rapunzel’s Hair Silk oil. Then I did 3 knots on each side: front, middle, and back, covered with a scarf and went to bed.
I love the results, the perfect soft waves:
I recorded a gang-load of videos with the bantu-knot look so you’ll probably get sick of seeing it.
