Probably her ultimate trademark style, Brandy rocked braids of different styles and types all throughout the 90s and early 2000s. I remember wondering (well, I still kinda do) what her hair looked like beneath the braids because it seemed like her edges were disappearing.
We did get a glimpse of her real hair when she played on the short lived sitcom Thea but ever since, its been hidden away, with the exception of one tweet where she showed off a short cut.

I’ll be honest and admit that I was SO glad when Brandy finally gave the braids a rest and began wearing her hair in different styles…but she traded one evil hairline disaster for another and became victim to the most awful, unnatural looking lacefront wigs in the planet. Honestly, I wanted to find her stylist and hurt them for sending her out in the public like that!

Brandy is SO pretty, she has an amazing body so to give her the round dinosaur looking hairline that she wore for a while was just tragic and a true disservice to her beauty! These days she looks gorgeous head-to-toe, in fact her curly afro look for the Billboard Music Awards (below) was my favorite of the night.
However, in her video for Put it Down (a song I literally can’t get out of my head) she gave a nod to her classic look wearing long box braids. I love it! So stunning! I’m generally not a fan of box braids on anyone these days (I hated the look Beyonce debuted a few weeks ago – so outdated) but Brandy makes it work! Go head girl, can’t wait for the video!
