You may have noticed that I now update Longing 4 Length each weekday morning and sometimes post on the weekends. I fully planned and intended for this transition from occasional posting to regularly scheduled updates, but I wasn’t sure how it would be received. Too much in your blog reader? Would you start sending me hate mail because I’m giving you hair obsession overload?! Would you begin to unsubscribe or stop leaving comments? I think everybody – no matter how strategically planned – gets nervous when making a change to their blog. Well, its been about two months and it seems (for the most part) you are enjoying regular L4L posting. I really deeply appreciate all of you for continuing to visit and comment, I love the fact that several lurkers have stepped out of the background and said hello. You are hanging in there with me thru the tedious process of transitioning from one blog engine to another, which can be a bit frustrating when your favorite links don’t work. In addition, the number of you who took the time to congratulate me on being a staff writer for Black Hair Media and even comment on my introductory post is just astounding, it really really made me feel great.
I’m proud of the way Longing 4 Length has evolved over the past year and hope that you will continue to support not only as I grow towards my hair goals but also as I expand the blog. Your enthusiasm over my Rasheeda interview made me feel awesome. You know there always seems to be some hater waiting to knock your hustle and I seriously have praised and thanked God none of you are like that. I have even more fun and exciting things in the works and your support is what fuels me so thank you for not only supporting Longing 4 Length, but just me in general. You retweet my post updates, leave congratulatory comments and send me well wishes overall. I am feeling a bit sappy right now, but I’m an emotional person anyway, so don’t judge me! I wish I could hug every one of you – and I’m a lightweight germaphobe so that’s a big deal. But since I cannot, a thank you will have to suffice. Thank you.
We’ll be back to our regularly scheduled hair programming very shortly!
