Give Yourself a Facial at Home

facial at home how to

I have previously listed the steps on how I like to give myself a facial at home and the process has remained largely unchanged.  At times I am very diligent in giving my skin extra attention and do facials weekly, other times months may pass before I am able to dedicate the time to give myself a facial at home.  As I shared with you, a couple of months ago I tried some generic hair, nail and skin vitamins and my already acne affected face erupted into a truly terrible breakout!  I had to go hardcore to slow the formations of new blemishes, bumps and postules and returned to facials weekly and within two weeks (along with my normal regimen) all of my “active” acne was gone and now I am concentrating on lightening some of the post-acne scarring it left behind.  I thought some may find it helpful to see how I do my facial at home; it really is a lot easier than it may seem if you have never had one done or given one to yourself but it is very effective.  Enjoy the video tutorial below and for your convenience, I have listed the products I use as well.

I found that weekly facials do work, and I actually started using Tazorac cream. It took a while to work but when it my face cleared up beautifully.

Where can you get something like that?

I have used water mixed with lemon juice it worked for me. You are to stay out of the direct sunlight with it on your face, so i would put it on at night. very inexpensive and i used a old clearasil bottle.

I’m sorry I forgot to mention the water and lemon is for dark scars or blemishes on the skin.

One of my goals this year is to step my skincare game up! I was getting facials, but the spa I was going to was too far away. I’m going to get the products and try them at home! PS I thought I was the ONLY one that has bad reactions to Hair, Skin, Nail Vitamins! Any brand does me in. Biotin also gives me terrible breakouts as well. :-(

I have two good tips that worked very well for me:
    1. use deoderant and antiperspirants as little as possible. sweating is a process not only to cool the body down but get rid of toxic substances. if you block that possibility the body will get it out elsewhere.
    2. do to your skin as you do to your hair. skip chemicals. i massage in argan oil in my face, morning and evening. I try to not, unless it is a function or holiday put snything more on. only lipstick and mascara and nothing on the skin. just using soap without colour or fragrance. try it for three weeks and i guarantee you that you will see a change.
