Parnevu Hair Mayonnaise

My Thoughts:  I really liked this product, it does a great job of conditioning my hair and I was especially attracted to the ingredients.  The price is amazing for 16 ounces and it is readily available in most beauty supply stores.  I prefer my conditioners to be packaged in a jar and the wide mouth of this product makes it very easy to reach the product.

Parnevu Shining Gel:

Retail Price:  $5 for 6 oz.

Ingredients:  Water (Aqua, Eau), Mineral Oil (Paraffinium Liquidum, Huile minerale), Propylene Glycol, Oleth-5, DEA-Oleth-3 Phosphate, Oleth-20, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, PCA, Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Proline, Threonine, Histidine, Phenylalanine, Glycerin, Benzophenone-4, Oleth-10 Phosphate, Fragrance (Parfum), Phenoxyethanol, Methlyparaben, Propylparaben, DMDM Hydantoin, Red 33 (CI 17200), Yellow 5 (CI 19140).

My Thoughts:  Again, the price is amazing especially considering the skyrocketing costs of many popular “edge” and curl enhancing gels.  It has a pleasant fruity fragrance and works well.  It can cause buildup if applied several days consecutively but overall I think it is a good product.

Parnevu Extra Dry Leave-In Conditioner:

Retail Price: $5 for 16 oz.

Ingredients:  Water (Aqua, Eau), Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum, Huile minerale), Petrolatum, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 60, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone PEG-8 Meadowfoamate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Benzophenone-4, Hydrolyzed Wheat Gluten, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Methlparaben, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance (Parfum), Blue 1 (CI 42090).

My Thoughts:  Honestly I did not try this product.  I know my hair and it hates moisturizers and leave-in conditioners with mineral oil or petroleum, especially high on the ingredient list and this product contains both.  I do respect how well the Parnevu rep accepted my critique and the fact that she encouraged me to include this information in my review.  Her response was also very reasonable – it is difficult for brands to use quality ingredients while keeping their products cost effective; I greatly appreciate the transparency of the company and their approach to hearing honest feedback regarding their items.
