I recorded myself applying and styling my Outre Evony half wig featured in this week’s wash day post. Although I always make mention of the longevity and quality of good human hair extensions, there really are options for everyone’s budget to look great with fake hair. Best of all, half wigs are an awesome protective hairstyle because you can wear little to no hair out and remove it daily for regular moisturizing and sealing. Check out what the wig looks like out of the package and after I styled it:
Evony was really cute without any cutting or shaping – something I love in half wigs – but because it is so curly I knew it would grow and expand as time went on. Plus I chose this particular style not for glamour but for ease so I really didn’t want all that hair swirling about for an everyday wig. Really I should’ve purchased my tried and true, all time favorite half wig – Model Model Cocktail Bay Breeze – for daily wear and kept this one long for weekends and a little more pizzazz. But I LOVE the final result nonetheless!
Outre Evony half wig is definitely a winner and I plan to buy another and keep it long in the near future. I absolutely LOVE half wigs – bctually much more than u-part wigs because they are so much easier to wear as blending is not always necessary. You can keep half your hair braided like I did or leave just the tiniest bit of hair out to comb over the wig line, or opt to rod set your bang area. Covering the tracks is much easier in half wigs also – at least for me. For around $20, you really cannot beat it. I know a lot of you don’t feel comfortable in wigs although you realize how easy they are. To ease your way into wig wearing, I suggest you try braiding or flat twisting the front of your hair and rocking a curly style on the back. You will probably feel a lot more comfortable with this style to begin your foray into wigdom. :-)
