Striping tape nail art is sublimely easy and practically foolproof. I promise this is something all of you can not only do but master! As usual, below is a video tutorial and the supplies and step by step instructions are also provided. Enjoy!
Striping Tape Nail Art Tutorial:
- Supplies:
- Basecoat
- Nail striping tape: I purchased this pack from Amazon.
- Glitter nail polish
- Nail color
- Topcoat
After giving yourself a manicure to prepare your nails, apply a bonding basecoat. Paint two coats of silver shimmer polish followed by a silver glitter nail polish (my silver polishes are not effective enough on their own). I used Sinful Colors Out of This World and Queen of Beauty. Allow to completely dry. Prepare 15 pieces of nail striping tape (I used three per nail, you can do as many as you like) and place them on the edge of a desk. This helps you to apply them quickly and easily. Randomly apply three strips of nail stripping in an intersecting fashion to each nail using tweezers. Paint over nail with color of your choice (I used Sephora by OPI It’s My Pink). Allow nail to dry for 20-30 seconds – do not allow to completely dry – then slowly remove each piece of tape. Be sure to remove the striping tape in order starting with uppermost piece. Allow polish to dry and finish with topcoat!
I’m not sure it’s possible for me to love the results more than I do – so freakin cute yet easy! Also, this is my first time using any Sephora by Opi polishes (purchased my first in this haul). I am super impressed with the quality; it practically is a one coat opaque formula! #LOVE!!! I’m not sure if all Sephora by OPI polishes are this good, but I must say, I’m a fan so far! Fellow polish-nistas have you tried this brand? Anyway, I hope you all give striping tape nail art a try!
