I used to be an avid watcher of NBC’s The Biggest Loser and oh-my that Dolvett is so doggone sexy! However, the crying and carrying on just wears me out now. Anywhoo, Jillian Michaels was a guest on The Wendy Williams Show a while back. Among asking about Jillian’s bout with childhood obesity, Wendy asked about her children, one of which she adopted from Haiti.
- Wendy: Do you know what a kitchen is?
- Jillian: I know exactly what a kitchen is! It’s when the back of the hair gets messed up and it needs to be combed. I know everything – I know about the edges, I know about the products, I know about the twists, I know all the different braiding styles. I know WHAT.IS.UP! *snaps*
Then Jillian goes on to say how she got a referral from her Black friends to a braider named Amber. However she is learning how to do her daughter’s hair herself because she will be going on the road for six weeks. Her plan? Afro puffs! Wendy kind of gave Jillian the side eye to the puffs saying the edges will be pulled and the kitchen won’t stay smooth (as if Wendy knows how to prevent hair thinning or loss…jussayin)! Jillian took it all in good stride and during the commercials evidently everyone accepted the afro puffs as an acceptable style. What I really liked is that Jillian seemed determined to care for her daughter’s in its natural state. Go on girl! Check it out below (hair talk begins around 4:20):
