Founded by Ebony C. Princess, the mission of Longing 4 Length is to serve as a resource for Black women to utilize in growing, achieving and maintaining healthy hair. Often as Black women hair beyond a certain length is something we are only able to long 4 but never dream of achieving without the use of extensions. Today, however, Black women all over the globe are working to grow their own hair so that wigs, weaves, and braids are just another styling option – not a necessity for having long flowing hair.
Longing 4 Length provides an up close up and personal account of Ebony’s hair journey along with a plethora of hair care tips from women of all different hair types and textues, both chemically treated (relaxed and colored) and natural. You will find styles, tutorials, information, tips, advice and suggestions to help you reach your hair goals, irrespective of your starting point. The thing that makes L4L special is the level of detail found within the site: relaxed and natural hair tips, styles, wash days, products used, regimen changes, setbacks and successes – it is all here to hopefully encourage readers and also to prove that Black hair can grow. Aside from growing healthy hair, L4L also is a place to discuss the latest hair happenings and celebrity trends – including exclusive celebrity interviews. Enjoy your time here, don’t be a stranger and grow with the L4L team as we go from longing 4 to swinging our length!
