I removed my VIP Luxury Hair Brazilian wavy hair extensions over the weekend after six weeks. Hopefully those curious about the performance and quality of the hair have gotten a good overall view from all of my previous posts and videos showcasing the hair. The hair is beautiful and I find no direct faults with it. However, I always try to be conscientious of what information is important to you as potential consumers and I know saying “It’s beautiful!” is not all that helpful!
So, I’ll try to share my thoughts; if you saw my ‘Initial Look’ post, then you know that I sealed the wefts of the extensions to decrease shedding. I had next to zero shedding until about week 5, when I shed minimally during combing in the mornings. The hair is neither coarse nor fine – I would say it is directly in the middle. The waves reverted beautifully after straightening and using my curling wand, however over time the hair did become frizzier and require product to keep it looking its best. After washing and conditioning, the hair didn’t feel “brand new” again as some brands do but I never thought the hair looked old or haggard. More than my thoughts, plus what words cannot explain is shown in the video below. It shows how the hair looks after six weeks of wear as well as a look back on previous videos to see how it held up over time.
I would predict this hair would last through 3-4 installations if cared for properly and washed/deep conditioned between installs. Do I recommend VIP? Yes. The bundles are full and I did not have any major shedding or tangling issues. VIP offers some amazing sales (make sure you are following them on Instagram @VIPLuxuryHair) and you can catch a great deal if you keep your eye out. Their Peruvian collection starts at just $60 per bundle!
